About Us
This year Newton Abbot Carnival Committee organised the Newton Abbot Carnival 2008, after taking over from the Round Table The Committee is formed by representatives of the Town Council, local groups, clubs, associations and residents, enthusiastic to maintain this annual community event that is enjoyed by many people, of all ages.
The Committee regularly meets to discuss planning the forthcoming Carnival that incorporates a weeklong programme of events.
As you can imagine it takes an incredible amount of organising and physical manpower for the event to happen - this is where you can help!
The Committee is looking for individual volunteers, associations and clubs who are enthusiastic about participating in some way and helping the Carnival week with 1 or more of a multitude of jobs that need doing, in order for the Carnival to happen!
Everything from organising an event e.g. coffee morning to helping erect bunting, distribution of signage, supervising procession entrants, in fact a whole host of things that need your help.
If you are eager for the Carnival to happen, and have some spare time any offer of help, however small, is very eagerly encouraged. The Annual General Meeting of the next Carnival Committee will be held on Monday 10th November at the Recreational Trust at 7 pm, so please come along if you are interested.
